Veins and Nerves

Herophilus was the first to distinguish sensory from motor nerves. His
teacher, Praxagoras of Cos, was the first to distinguish arteries from
veins. Since most, if not all, early people and cultures made no
distinction among these four structures or the tendons, who was the first
to distinguish nerve-like structures, blood vessel type structures and
tendons?
