Interesting the way the meanings of words "creep". As I recall (I don't
have my Greek lexicon handy), _legein_ originally (well, prior to Thales)
meant "something heard", and only later shifted to come to mean "word",
"meaning", "account", or "study" in the form of _logos_ (the root of the
-logy suffix of so many disciplinary names).
