For historical reasons such papers as Broca', on the Great Limbic Lobe, 1878;
also C. J. Herrick, The Functions of the Olfactory Parts of the Cerebral cortex,
1933 (*if not already part* of the bibliography of this project on history of olfactory studies ...)
would be useful (canonical?) in such an undertaking.
