ISHN 2004 renewals

ISHN members:

It seems like I'm always apologizing and sound like a broken record (or would that be
"dodgy CD" these days), but ...

Between "some" and "many" of you did not receive your ISHN/JHN 2004 renewal notices/invoices
from Turpin/Extenza (the distribution wing of our publisher) in December or January. I am
working with Swets (our publisher, who handles our memberships and renewals so credit card
payments can be accepted at no cost to us) to determine to whom mailings were or were not
sent. It's not as simple as "all of North America" or "countries whose names begin with the
letter 'B' ", I'm afraid. Instead, it looks like some fiendishly clever random number
generator was used to assign members to the two mail bins. At least, that's what I make of
the whole thing.

My sincere apologies for the inconvenience this has caused our members.

P.S. I welcome responses from members who have not (or have, for that matter) received the 2004 renewal
notice. However, please DO NOT HIT "REPLY" to this message, or your posting will go to the entire
HISTNEUR-L list! Instead, compose a NEW email message and send it to me at:

rjohnson@lirbary.ucla.edu

Please enclose your preferred email and snailmail addresses, so I can compare them to our membership
list and to the Turpin/Extenza database when I receive it.
