Re: Luria and psychosurgery



As far as I know Luria did not examine lobotomy patients although it might
have provided him interesting data for his theory of frontal lobe
functioning. Long-term outcomes of prefrontal lobotomy are analysed in
detail in two Russian papers published in Zhurnal Nevropatologii i
Psikhiatrii :

1. Ambrumova AG (1960) - v.60, p.1193-1197 and
2. Bondarev VI e.a. (1962) - v.62, p.1874-1878
