Funding for MA and PhD Study at Wellcome Trust Centre



Postgraduate Opportunities in the History of Medicine

Enquiries are invited from prospective postgraduate students interpreted
in undertaking advanced studies in the History of Medicine. The Wellcome
Trust Centre for the History of Medicine at University College London is the
World's largest research and teaching institution in the subject area. It
offers students the opportunity to undertake full or part time study for an
MA in the History of Medicine and for research students to register of the
degree of PhD.Details of these are found on our web page

Some financial assistance is available for both these options. From
September 2004 the Centre anticipates being able to offer one studentship
(valued at c £11,000 plus payment of "home" fees, for the MA programme and
two studentships(valued at c.£16,000 plus payment of "home" fees ) for PhD
students. Applicants from outside the EU should check whether they are
liable for fee at the overseas rate, in which case they will beresponsible 
for paying the difference between the "home" and "overseas" rate. Details of
