In the summer of 2003 the Department of Classics at the University of
Virginia will again offer Latin as one of the University's Summer Language
Institutes. The Latin program, which will take place from June 9 through
August 8, is an intensive course designed to cover two years of
college-level Latin (12 UVa credit hours earned); a non-credit option is
also available, which is especially attractive to out-of-state students. No
previous knowledge of Latin is required for participation. The Summer Latin
Institute represents an excellent opportunity for motivated students to
achieve rapid proficiency in Latin.

For more information about this exciting educational opportunity please
contact:

Cameron Howell, Office of the Summer Session, uvasli@virginia.edu

or

Brian Marinas, Director of the Summer Latin Institute, bcm6e@virginia.edu

Information regarding costs, financial aid, housing, and applications is
also available on-line at:

www.virginia.edu/summer/SLI

The deadline for applications is APRIL 15th; late applications, however,
will still be considered, space permitting.
