Lecturer in History of Modern Science


The Department intends to appoint a lecturer in the History of Modern
Science; those with interests in the history of twentieth-century science
are especially encouraged to apply. The post is unestablished and the
appointment will be for 3 years while Professor James Secord holds a
Leverhulme Major Research Fellowship. It is hoped that the successful
applicant will take up the appointment on 1 October 2003. The scale of
stipend is £23,296-£24,121 depending on experience.

Applications in hard copy, including a CV, list of publications, details of
teaching experience, proposals for teaching while in post and two samples
of recent work, should be sent to the Secretary, Dept. of History and
Philosophy of Science, University of Cambridge, Free School Lane, Cambridge

2003. Applicants should ask three referees to send or email references to
the Secretary to arrive by that date. Interviews and Jobtalks will be held
on 14 March 2003.
