Arts Column for JHN

Dear JHNers and Arts Enthusiasts,

We really had a good response to the idea of an Arts Column in JHN. In fact, we
had some 7 volunteers. To help us narrow down the field, I was going to write
personally to each volunteer, asking for some reprints (scholarly writing
samples, hopefully on the neurosciences and the arts) and perhaps a vita. By
accident, when I went to respond to the first person on the list (Celeste
Wirsig), I pressed the "return" button on my computer and my note went out to
everyone on our list rather than to just one person.

So rather than those planned personal notes, let me ask everyone who had an
interest in editing our Arts Column (broadly defined for the moment, to include
literature) to please read the note below and to get back to me. Reprints by
mail, rather than e-mail, would be most appreciated.

Here is the note again:

We're now trying to narrow down the field of possible editors for the arts
column for JHN; people who will both write columns and solicit columns, as they
see fit. To help us make a final determination we would like to know if you
could send us by real mail some reprints of your own papers that may bear on the
arts. A vita/resume would also be helpful. Hopefully, we'll make a decision
within a few weeks.

With best wishes,

Stan Finger
