The department is interested in persons whose work looks broadly at the social and cultural history of medicine, medical science, healing and disease. Scholars with degrees in history, as well as other disciplines, are encouraged to apply. Time period and geographical specialty are open. The successful candidate will teach one course each year and help develop a series of events around their field of interest for the spring of 2004. Candidates must have their PhD in hand by June 2002. Applicants should send a letter describing their research and teaching interests, a cv, and three letters of recommendation to: Dr. Randall M.
