Re: Poetry
The problem with a column on "Neuropoetry" is that we would have to have it come out without fail in every issue of JHN for as long as the journal runs. I'm not sure we can do this with poetry. In fact, I'm doubtful. Hence, I believe we would be much better off asking for some short or long papers on poetry, rather than a fixed column with a deadline. Such submissions would be most welcome. Perhaps the better column to consider would be one that would include both poetry and literature; everything from Goethe's early description of aphasia to Charcot's love affair with Shakespeare. There would be much more to write about here, and the Editors would not be in so much fear of not seeing a column. So let's place the matter on the table and see if there are volunteers with agendas or opinions. And Peter and I shall keep open minds. In the meanwhile, it looks like we will have 3 new columns, hopefully starting sometime this year: (1) stamps and coins, (2) fine arts, and (3) tools and instruments. We hope to have announcements and details by the end of March. This is indeed the fun part of the job.
