RE: Possible new JHN columns
Hi Stanley, I hope you have been doing well and staying well. I don't know if you remember me. I hosted you for a seminar once upon a time (I think it was in Boston - I am almost out of memory neurons). Lately I have been struggling with writing papers and trying to get enough grant support so that I can almost imagine getting tenure. Anyway, as you can imagine I have not been able to participate in the History of Neuroscience to a great degree. BUT I am still interested AND one of my life's goals has always been to combine art and science. So I have a question for you. Are you looking for someone to serve as editor for short write-ups on art and neuroscience OR to actually write an article for each issue? In either case, I would be interested but need to determine what sort of time commitment is required. Please let me know. Have you been out to Arizona recently to the rock and mineral exhibits (I think I remember you said it was during the summer)? I have rather become addicted to Ebay and the joy of buying fossils. I have to either curb my appetite for fossils though or get a second job. Well, I hope I can get to see you again sometime. I have decided this year to go to a Gordon Research Conference (in Oxford) rather than the Neuroscience meeting. This past year's meeting was so disappointing. Take care and let me know the particulars of your endeavors, Thanks and I send my best regards, Celeste P.S. Oklahoma is flatter than Massachusetts!!! Celeste R.
