Congratulations to Dr. Paul Foley

Congratulations to Dr. Paul B. Foley, who completed his doctoral
dissertation in the Institute for the History of Medicine and the
Faculty of Biology at the University of Würzburg (Germany) and was
awarded his doctorate summa cum laude.

The dissertation, "Beans, roots and leaves: the history of the
pharmacological therapy of Parkinsonism," soon will be available as a
(very large, he warns) PDF file on the University website for
electronic dissertations:
http://www.bibliothek.uni-wuerzburg.de/DISS/liste.html

A print version should appear towards the end of this year.

His most recent paper at an ISHN meeting was in Cologne last year:
"Duboisia, the Australian belladonna". For the abstract, see:
http://www.ishn.org/ab08-2001.htm

Paul is returning to the Institute in Würzburg (after two years in
Sydney) as an Alexander von Humboldt Postdoctoral Fellow. He may be
contacted via his entry in the ISHN Membership Directory:
