Re: Brain banking

You might be interested in the Harvey Cushing Brain Tumor Registry
which is housed at the Yale School of Medicine and includes whole
brain specimens. There is an on-line exhibition about the registry
at
http://www.neurosurgery.org/cybermuseum/tumorregistryhall/wahl.html
organized by Christopher Wahl who graduated from YSM in 1996. His
M.D. thesis, "The Harvey Cushing Brain Tumor Registry: Changing
Scientific and Philosophic Paradigms and the Study and Preservation
of Archives," is available at the medical school archives (MEDICAL,
Theses, Locked (Non-Circulating) T113 +Y12 6437).
