Congratulations to Dr. Frank Stahnisch

Congratulations to ISHN member Frank Stahnisch, who recently received
the M.D. degree from the Free University of Berlin with his
dissertation:
"Ideas in Action - Der Funktionsbegriff und seine methodologische Rolle
im Forschungsprogramm des Experimentalphysiologen François Magendie
(1783- 1855)". Berlin: Freie Universität Berlin, 2001, 222 pages
(Dissertation für den medizinischen Doktorgrad / Dr. med.)

His most recent paper at an ISHN meeting was in Cologne last year:
"Making the brain plastic: Early anatomical bench strategies to adapt
behavioural changes to morphology". For the abstract, see:
http://www.ishn.org/ab35-2001.htm

Dr. Stahnisch is now at the Institute for History of Medicine and
Medical Ethics, Friedrich-Alexander-University Erlangen-Nuremberg. On
the ISHN membership directory he lists the department homepage, from
which one can step to his website:
