book reviews in JHN
_NOT for circulation outside of HISTNEUR-L_ Members of HISTNEUR-L: I take this opportunity to remind list members that the JOURNAL OF THE HISTORY OF THE NEUROSCIENCES reviews in each issue new scholarly books in the history of the neurosciences, and new general works in the history of science and history of medicine. In 2001, JHN also introduced a "books received/books noted" section to announce to readers new historical books of interest. If you have recently published a book or you have a forthcoming book, I would encourage you or your publisher to send me a review copy for a POTENTIAL review and listing in JHN. Similarly, if you know of books in the history of neuroscience in your field or in your country that might be overlooked, I would greatly appreciate your alerting me about them. I am particularly seeking non-English works published after 1999. If you are interested in reviewing books for JHN (and are not a member of ISHN), send me a brief e-mail indicating your interests and qualifications (i.e., degrees, experience, publications). If your qualifications are appropriate, I will add you to my list of reviewers and will contact you if a book in your area of expertise becomes available. ISHN members are automatically on the list of reviewers by virtue of being included in the membership directory. Anyone else can be added to the reviewers list by contacting me at the e-mail address below. George Joseph Yale Univeristy mailto:josephdg@biomed.med.yale.edu
