call for History of Neuroscience lecture/symposium/conference announcements

With the start of a new year, I would like to urge folks to send
postings to their 300 colleagues on HISTNEUR-L about their history of
neuroscience lectures, symposia, conferences, etc. Please be sure to
include all the pertinent information (who, what, when, where; and whom
to contact--and how to make contact--for more information), including a
descriptive Subject line and the URL/address for an associated website,
if there is one. Since the ISHN does not have a newsletter, we depend
on the listserv as one important means (along with the ISHN Online
Directory: http://www.ishn.org/ishndir.htm , for example) of keeping
abreast of who is doing what in the field and forging connections
between people with similar research interests.

To post on HISTNEUR-L, just send your email announcement to:
HISTNEUR-L@library.ucla.edu

If you are not comfortable with "tooting your own horn", please
consider sending your relevant _neuroscience history_ announcements to
me and I will format them for and post them on the listserv.

Cheers,

Russell Johnson
HISTNEUR-L administrator and ISHN Secretary
