[Marie de Manaceine (Manasiena)]

I am looking for any information, including biographical information, on
Marie de Manaceine (Manasiena), a sleep researcher from the 1890s. I
believe she was originally from Poland and that she changed her name and
did most of her really novel sleep deprivation studies on animals in
Paris. She published a book (Sleep ...) in 1897, three yearws after coming
out with a pioneering article in Archivio Italiano de Biologia. But that's
all I could come up with.

Thanks,

Stan Finger
