Avicenna's Doctrine of Cerebral Function

Dear all,

I have been discussing with someone how sensory information was stored in
Avicenna's ventricular doctrine. Specifically, we have been discussing
whether or not he actually states that images were stored spatially. We
have reason to believe that he would have thought that the faculty of
imaginatio stored things in the same form as the sensus communis received
them, but we are unable to find direct textual support. So, if he
comments that any sense was stored in the way that it was perceived, that
would support the idea that visual images were also stored spatially.
Does anyone know of a specific reference?

Thank You,
