Forwarded to HISTNEUR-L (The History of Neuroscience Internet Forum)
from H-SCI-MED-TECH. List members will be particularly interested, I
think, in David Gallo and Stan Finger's paper, "The Power of a Musical
Instrument: Franklin, the Mozarts, Mesmer, and the Glass Armonica".

The November 2000 issue of HISTORY OF PSYCHOLOGY -- a quarterly published by
the American Psychological Association -- has just appeared. This issue
features articles on Descartes' REGULAE, on "Franklin, the Mozarts, Mesmer,
and the Glass Armonica," on the Psychological Round Table of the late 1930s,
and on "B. F. Skinner in the Popular Press, 1934-1990."

Abstracts of these articles are posted on HISTORY OF PSYCHOLOGY's Website,
at <http://www.wpi.edu/~histpsy> . This Website also includes Tables
of Contents of all issues published since the journal's launch in
February 1998, abstracts of all published and forthcoming articles,
instructions for authors, and subscription information. Other queries
may be directed to the journal's editor, Michael M. Sokal, at
.
