Re: history of phrenology on the web

A gentle reminder to listmembers: HISTNEUR-L is not a moderated list,
so any subscriber can post a message directly and immediately to
<histneur-l@library.ucla.edu> . In fact, it's better that an
individual do that rather than sending the posting to me to forward,
because then his/her email address rather than mine is in the "From"
field (and interested readers who don't want to respond to the list can
see your email address to contat you directly). As list administrator,
I log and respond to error messages, maintain the list archives, and so
forth.

Dr. Van Whye: I checked my "emails received" files and don't see a
message that you asked to pass along; there is no indication in the
list's 1999 or 2000 error logs that a posting of yours bounced, either.
However, I _did_ forward to HISTNEUR-L your 21 September 1999
mersenne/cheiron posting "The History of Phrenology on the Web"; see
<http://www.medsch.ucla.edu/som/bri/archives/hnl/msg99228.htm> .

Cheers,
