The tenure of the position will be for the academic year 2000-2001, with possible renewal for a second year. The field of specialization is open, though with some preference for areas in the history of the human sciences, biology, and medicine. The duties would include taking part in the administration of the undergraduate program in history and philosophy of science. The candidate would teach a total of four courses during the three- quarter academic year, and would participate in the various workshops and special seminars of the Center. All requirements for the Ph. D. must be completed by July 1, 2000. Applications should be received by May 5, 2000.
