Article: "Neuroscience in the Modern Era" by Edward G. Jones (_Neuroscience Newsletter_, v. 31 no. 1, January/February 2000)

The current issue of the Society for Neuroscience's _Neuroscience
Newsletter_ contains SFN Past President Ted Jones' article,
"Neuroscience in the Modern Era". This article is based on his paper
presented at "The Neurosciences and Psychiatry: Crossing the
Boundaries," the First Joint Congress of the ISHN, EAHP, and ECHN, held
in Switzerland in September 1999 (see
<http://www.medsch.ucla.edu/som/bri/archives/congress1999.htm> for the
congress program and links to individual abstracts>).

The link <http://www.sfn.org/NL/current/> will take you to the
frames-based Web-browser version of the newsletter. This version
proves to be particularly inadequate for an article like this one,
however, because it does not include the figures and sidebar column
("Major research advances during the Decade of the Brain") to which the
author refers in his article. Instead, one will want to view and print
the PDF version <http://www.sfn.org/NL/current/articles/01.21.00.pdf>,
which is a more faithful reproduction of the printed edition of the
publication.
