The University of California San Francisco seeks an individual to
provide leadership as Project Manager: Tobacco Control Digital
Library. The manager will conceptualize, develop, monitor and direct
projects that support tobacco control research and policy development.
The manager will supervise two FTE to acquire, index and abstract
significant material about the tobacco industry released through
ongoing litigation; work closely with technical staff to administer and
streamline the digitizing/database management process; and work with
organizations to improve access to local and national digital tobacco
collections.
Qualifications: MLS or equivalent, demonstrated ability as a self
starter, excellent oral and written skills, project management and
supervisory skills, ability to deliver projects on time and within
budget, proficiency with PCs and database software. Prefer experience
digitizing and OCRing documents; background in cataloging and indexing;
experience in website development.
This is an academic appointment in the Librarian series as Temporary
Assistant Librarian ($32,292 - $41,328) or Temporary Associate
Librarian (to $49,525), depending on qualifications. UC offers
