The conjoint public lecture program (at the Smithsonian Institution),
"The Changing Self: From Sigmund Freud to Serotonin," includes Sherry
Turkle (MIT) on 22 October and Richard M. Restak (George Washington

"Freud: Conflict and Culture" is on view through 15 January 1999 at the
Thomas Jefferson Building of the Library of Congress. From there,
it travels to the Jewish Museum, New York (11 April - 12 September
1999); the Sigmund Freud-Museum/Vienna Austrian National Library,
Vienna (21 October 1999 - 10 February 2000); and the Skirball Cultural
Center, Los Angeles (7 March - June 11, 2000).
