quick question on a 'first'

Our Dept. of Medicine has sent me a list of ‘firsts’ they would 
like to claim for the Division of Gastroenterology.  I have managed 
to respond (with a straight face) to all but one.  I find it hard 
to believe that this is a first for us, but Lord knows I have been 
wrong before, and often!  So here is my question:  when was the first 
hospital out-patient clinic established in gastroenterology?  
It may have had some other name, but you see what I mean.
