Hi Everyone, Thanks to everyone who responded to my survey a couple of weeks ago – wish I could respond to each individually. Here is a summary of responses. (Sorry if you’re receiving this multiple times – I also posted to the A & A, ALHS, etc.) ILLINOIS ARCHIVES THAT USE EAD Here are just some of the Illinois archival repositories that have implemented EAD programs: Art Institute of Chicago Ryerson and Burnham Archives; Benedictine University; Creative Audio Archive of the Experimental Sound Studio in Chicago http://www.creativeaudioarchive.org/ or http://www.expsoundstudio.org/esshome.htm; Newberry Library; Northwestern University http://www.library.northwestern.edu/ead/index.html; University of Chicago Library's Special Collections Research Center; University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign. MEDICAL ARCHIVES THAT USE EAD Here is a list of just some of the medical archives that have implemented EAD: The Delaware Academy of Medicine John H. SOME MEDICAL ARCHIVES IN UNION CATALOGS: The state of Virginia has the Virginia Heritage Project, a union database of Finding Aids to archival and manuscript collections in Virginia repositories (http://ead.lib.virginia.edu/vivaead/), of which the University of Virginia Health Sciences Library Historical Collections participates, as well as the Virginia Commonwealth University Tompkins-McCaw Medical Library. The Northwest Digital Archives provides information about collections at archives in Washington, Oregon, Idaho, Alaska, and Montana, of which the Oregon Health & Science University Historical Collections & Archives is a part. The Texas Archival Resources Online (TARO) at http://www.lib.utexas.edu/taro/ is a union catalog of Texas archival collections and includes Finding Aids of the Houston Academy of Medicine - Texas Medical Center Library and the University of Texas M. D. Anderson Cancer Center Historical Resources Center. The New Mexico Health Historical Collection is part of the Rocky Mountain Online Archive (http://rmoa.unm.edu/), a three-state consortium.
