Thank you for sharing the below information with researchers and colleagues
as appropriate. Apologies for cross-postings.

-----------
NOTICE - TEMPORARY CLOSURE OF COLLECTIONS of the Archives & Special Collections
on Women in Medicine & on Homeopathy at Drexel University College of Medicine
Contact: 215-895-6661; archives@drexelmed.edu
----
The Archives will be moving its collections to new facilities in November, 2006.
The new location will unite all of the College of Medicine collections at One
Drexel Plaza in West Philadelphia. Offices will be retained at Hagerty Library.

In order to safely manage the relocation of materials and ensure the best
long-term access to the collections, our collections will be closed

to on-site researchers for eight - ten weeks beginning November 1, 2006.

Phone and electronic requests will be taken and responded to as staff time is
available and materials are accessible. It is possible that many

requests will not be able to be answered until the relocation is complete.

We apologize for the inconvenience and do encourage researchers to be in

contact with us about their needs, interests and deadlines. We anticipate
on-site research to resume in January 2007. We will do our best to
accommodate those requests we can and schedule time for addressing
those that need to wait until the relocation is complete.
