Greetings all and apologies for cross-postings. 

Please contact me with any submission ideas or content you may have for the winter issue 
of _Descriptive Notes_, newsletter for SAA's Description Section. The deadline is Jan 14.

Share with your colleagues announcements about new finding aid or cataloging projects, web 
sites showcasing your descriptive practices or successes, thought pieces, grant projects, 
or any other news items you think beneficial to the archival description community.

Of course there will be the usual fare in the form of a greeting from the Section's new Chair, 
Kelcy Shephard, a review of the Section business meeting and other success from the SAA Annual 
Meeting, and much more.

This upcoming issue marks our first web-only production so be sure to look out for the 
publication announcement later in January.
