THE TENTH ANNUAL MORRISSEY ORAL HISTORY WORKSHOP
FEBRUARY 27, 28 & 29, 2004 ~ Friday through Sunday ~9:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.

This workshop offers training for documenting histories of families, communities,
organizations, monuments or projects whether you are an experienced practitioner
or a novice in the field.
INCLUDES: Skill development of techniques for: Interviewing, fund raising,
ethical dilemmas, transcription, project management, AND networking opportunities
to explore ideas, experiences and strategies with a variety of practitioners using
oral history methods in many different ways.
Transportation: Free parking at Fort Mason. Information on public transportation
and accommodations provided upon registration. Instructor, Charles T. Morrissey,
is a former president of the Oral History Association. He has directed oral
history projects for the JFK Library,
the Ford Foundation, Harvard University, Hallmark Cards, and is a current
or previous consultant or evaluator for Baylor College of Medicine's Oral
History/Archives Program, the Howard Hughes Medical Inst. in Md., the Pew
Charitable Trusts, The National Endowment for the Humanities, the Centers
for Disease Control, the Motown Museum in Detroit, and the Bill Clinton
History Project at the Univ. or Arkansas, as well as other agencies. For
the past 22 summers he has taught oral history courses in Oregon and Vermont,
and is the author of more than 50 professional articles on oral history
techniques and applications.
Tuition is: $275.00 if received on or before 2/13/04;
$300.00 if received after 2/13/04.
