Re: STHC-L Administrator warning: virus apparently sent by list

In this case, the subject line read: "A very funny game", and the
message consisted of attachments only, no text.

Another clue that this was sent by hoax or virus software: there was no
"Reply-To: sthc-l@library.ucla.edu" line in the email header. But that
is a subtle point--not one for most readers to notice, but one of
the clues that told me the message was not circulated by the
regular, legitimate STHC-L list process.

The bottom line is: there are so many email hoaxes and viruses in
circulation, one must be careful; and never open email attachments
before virus-checking them!

cheers,

Russell
