POSITION ANNOUNCEMENT
Archivist

RESPONSIBILITIES:
This full-time archivist position is for an existing contract at the NASA
Headquarters History Office in Washington, DC.  Responsibilities include
entering and updating records in the archive database, describing files in
the collection, answering information requests by mail, email, telephone
and in person, evaluating and adding materials to the archive, applying
basic preservation techniques, scanning documents, and preparing materials
for transfer to the National Archives.

QUALIFICATIONS:
BA in History and archive experience are required. Masters in History
preferred. Applicant should have strong computer skills, database
experience, and knowledge of archival methods.  Background or interest in
aerospace history preferred.  Looking for a team player who can prioritize
tasks and has excellence customer service and communication skills. Must be
a US citizen.

STARTING SALARY:
