I don't recall seeing this....
There is an article in SCIENCE magazine (v.293, #5529, 20 July 2001) about
physicist Paul Ginsparg at Los Alamos National Laboratory, who started the
Los Alamos Electronic Preprint Archive (LAEPA) 10 years ago as a vehicle
for scientists in the physics world to share their not-yet-published
papers. It has been a wildly successful venture, accessioning more than
2,500 papers a month this year. Ginsparg has now opted to take a tenured
position at Cornell University and will take the preprint archive with him.
