The Center for History of Physics, American Institute of Physics, is
pleased to announce seven grants to process and organize collections in
physics, astronomy, and allied fields. The 2000 grants have been awarded to
Georgia Tech, National Cataloguing Unit for the Archives of Contemporary
Scientists (United Kingdom), National Center for Atmospheric Research,
Russian Academy of Sciences, University of Aarhus (Denmark), University of
Minnesota, and Woods Hole Oceanographic Institution.
The AIP History Center's Grant to Archives program is supported by the
Friends of the Center for History of Physics and designed to increase the
resources available to organize and preserve original sources in our fields
(physics, astronomy, geophysics, etc.) The maximum amount of individual
grants is $10,000, and applicants are required to provide matching funds.
The annual deadline for grant applications is July 1st. For information
