RBS Evaluations [Rare Book School: University of Virginia, Charlottesville]

Forwarded to STHC-L (Science, technology, and Health Care Archives
Forum) from EXLIBRIS.

Rare Book School is offering more and more week-long courses of
interest to archivists--including David Seaman's "Electronic Texts and
Images" and Daniel Pitti's "Implementing Archival Encoded Description"--
whose seats fill quickly after application deadlines are announced.
Take some time this fall to look at documents (general information,
course descriptions, course evaluations) linked to the Book Arts Press
homepage at <http://www.virginia.edu/oldbooks/> , so you'll be prepared
to apply for the Winter, Spring, or Summer 2001 sessions.

If you _do_ go to Rare Book School, be sure to look up STHC Roundtable
Steering Committee members Joan Echtenkamp Klein (Historical
Collections, University of Virginia Health Sciences Library,
UVa/Charlottesville) and Jodi Koste (Tomkins-McCaw Library, Medical
College of Virginia/Virginia Commonwealth University, in Richmond)!

The student evaluations for Rare Book School's June, July, and August 2000
courses are now all mounted on our Web site and available for general
inspection at

	http://www.virginia.edu/oldbooks/evals00/

They provide an unusually frank glimpse at the courses offered at RBS.
