"Individual members of SAA [Society of American Archivists] will vote
for a vice president/president elect, a treasurer, three Council
members and three Nominating Committee members. Ballots were mailed on
February 29. If you do not receive one, please contact Bernice Brack,
SAA membership services coordinator, at 312/922-0140 or
bbrack@archivists.org. The deadline for returning your ballot is April
7, 2000."

I'd like to give a heads-up to list subscribers who are SAA members and
make a personal recommendation: one of the candidates for
Nominating Committee this year is my STHC co-chair Suzanna Long.

Suzie's work for and dedication to the Science, Technology, and Health
Care Roundtable's mission and activities (she has been STHC co-chair
since 1996, for example) attest to her knowledge and understanding of
SAA that will benefit the organization and the profession. Read her
biographical blurb and candidate's statement on the ballot; I think
you'll agree that her extensive experience in archives and her high
level of involvement in SAA make her an excellent choice for this
committee. I urge you to vote and to vote for Suzanna Long for SAA
Nominating Committee.

Cheers,

Russell
