STHC at SAA (Denver, CO, 28 August - 3 September 2000)



Something to keep in mind if you're planning vacations and/or 
budgeting conference travel funds:  the Science, Technology, and Health 
Care Roundtable will have several sessions on the program at the 
upcoming Society of American Archivists meeting in Denver.  In fact, of 
5 session proposals which STHC submitted or co-sponsored, all 5 were 
accepted!


Session proposals submitted by the STHC Roundtable:

1)  "Everything But the Technical:  Looking at the Organizational Costs
of EAD Consortia" proposed by R. Joseph Anderson <rja@aip.org>.  This
session is endorsed by the EAD Roundtable (contact:  Beth Bensman,
<beth.bensman@mail.tju.edu>)

2)  "When the Written Word is Not Enough:  Oral Histories of Science
Professionals" proposed by Suzanna Long <infotek@sunnetworks.net>. 
This session is co-sponsored by the Oral History Section (contact: 
Pamela Cassidy Whitenack, <pcassidy@hca.microserve.com>)

3)  "Archives Oversight Committees" proposed by John Zwicky
<jzwicky@aap.org>.

1)  "Records of Patients and Human Subjects:  Providing Access to
Sensitive Materials" submitted by the Privacy and Confidentiality
