Museums and the Web 2000 - Call for Demonstrations
Location: Minnesota, United States
Call for Papers Date: 2000-02-15

Call for Demonstrations
Museums and the Web 2000
April 16 - 19, 2000
Minneapolis, Minnesota

Museums and the Web 2000 is this international conference
devoted to museums online. A key part of the MW2000 program is
the Demonstration Hall. This exhibition area provides conference
attendees a chance to meet and discuss web sites one-on-one
with their developers.

Representatives of not-for-profit organizations, including museums,
researchers, and educatoional institutions, are invited to propose
demonstrations. Proposals should highlight key aspects of a web
site, or showcase novel uses of web technology in culture,
heritage and education.

Have you developed a site with great features? Have you made a
unique use of web technology in your online programs? Have you
got a great application of educational technology that draws on
museum artefacts or builds on museum programs? If so, you could
demonstrate your site at Museums and the Web 2000.

Proposals are still being accepted for non-commercial museum
web site demonstrations. If you are a museum or education
professional, you have until February 15, 2000 to propose your
demonstration, using our online form.

Demonstration proposals must include:

* Full identification of the presenter(s), including name, job title,
institution, address, phone, fax, email and URL. * An abstract
clearly stating the value of the demonstration * AV requirements
for the demonstration * Demonstrators may submit a written paper
possible publication in the Conference Proceedings, that are
available at the meeting. Papers must follow the Guidelines for
Speakers and be submitted by February 15, 2000.

Submit your proposal using our online form at
