The BRI plays a critical role in neuroscience education at UCLA by uniting its members and the departments they represent in a concerted effort to recruit and train the neuroscientists that will lead excellent research in the future.

Neuroscience education at UCLA provides programs that give students a chance to customize their education without the limitations imposed by traditional departmental boundaries. Students at all levels are trained in analysis, from molecular and cellular to whole organs and systems. With this base, they can all “speak the language” of neuroscience and make informed choices of their areas of specialization.
