The UCLA Neuroscience Community and the Brain Research Institute sponsor a number of regularly-scheduled seminars and lectures, as well as special workshops and symposia. The weekly Joint Seminars in Neuroscience series brings scientists of national and international repute to UCLA to meet with faculty, postdoctoral fellows, and students, and to present a lecture to the neuroscience community. The Neuroscience Lectures & Seminars Calendar is published bi-weekly as a service to the UCLA scientific community and colleagues, and provides current information on neuroscience seminars and lectures at UCLA.

The BRI sponsors a number of annual lectureships and prizes, including the H.W. (Tid) Magoun Distinguished Lecture, the Samuel Eiduson Student Lecture, and the Distinguished Postdoctoral Fellow in Neuroscience Lecture, and the Eva Kavan Prize for Excellence in Neuroscience Research.

In addition, the BRI publishes the quarterly Neuroscience News for the UCLA neuroscience community.
